The day started off sunny and bright, but ended with us hurrying to get off the lake, made for a great photo though. The pelican was a bonus!
Back in the late winter as I was traveling the countryside, I was amazed to see this beautiful sight. Hundreds of snow geese had landed in a wheat field to refuel and rest. I felt privileged to have the opportunity to photograph them.
I think those are blister beetles in the thistle.
